How it works
- Enter your university (.ac.uk) email address above. We email you a code straight away.
- Open the link in the email and check the home you’re thinking of renting. The free check is always free.
- Choose Complete RenterCheck. The code is filled in when you pay, so it costs £7.99 instead of £9.99.
Already bought a single check, like the rent check, for the home? What you paid comes off too, so Complete comes to £7.99 in all.
Looking at more than one home? Once you have Complete, your report offers two more homes for £5, with a code to use on any home for 12 months: three homes for £12.99.
One code per address a year, for one Complete RenterCheck, and it works for 90 days.
What Complete RenterCheck checks
Whether the rent is fair against similar homes advertised nearby, who owns the home and whether they’re trading, whether it needs a licence to be let, what it will really cost each month with bills, and the questions to ask the agent before you sign. See an example report or compare prices.
Sharing a house? One report covers the whole home, so £7.99 between four of you is £2 each.
Questions
Who can get it?
Anyone with a UK university email address, one ending in .ac.uk. Most universities give you one when you enrol, including international students. Receiving the code there is how we know you’re a student.
What if I don’t have a university email address?
If your university or college doesn’t give you a .ac.uk address, email hello@rentercheck.co.uk from the address it does give you and we’ll send you a code.
What does the code take off?
20% off Complete RenterCheck, the full report for one home. The free check is always free. The code works once, for 90 days, and each address gets one a year.
Do you keep my university email address?
No. We use it to send the one email with your code. The code is made from the address in a way that can’t be reversed, so asking again sends the same code, without us storing the address.
